A healthy workforce is a productive workforce!
So what are the benefits?
Potential employees are often attracted to employers who offer a variety of good benefits, such as the potential to exercise at lunchtime.
Existing employees are often retained as a result of the benefits they receive being competitive within the marketplace.
Studies have shown that people who perform regular physical activity have a better, more positive outlook. They tend to set goals and work towards them.
A result of better motivation is better productivity. Also contributing to productivity is the fact that fitter employees take less sick days.
Setting up a corporate RunFit team allows employees to interact with others they would not usually do so with. Running can be a great team building exercise.

Here are some of the comments from our RunFit Corporate Lunch time runners;
"I like the variety of the sessions – the thought of continual running is off-putting, but really pleased with the setup, the interval work. The fact that all abilities are stretched and no one is left feeling behind."
"Knowing there will be company to run with (previously unknown/socialised with) at a regular day and time (of mixed abilities), making new contacts/acquaintances. Other benefits - Improved fitness/strength/confidence, general health and wellbeing. Focussed on healthier lifestyle and has reduced stress and improved resilience to illness (one of few people not to have been off sick due to recent illness circulating team)."
"I really looked forward to the Wednesday running session. It made me look forward to coming in to work as I knew it was running. It was nice to have a scheduled session to attend in the day without having to worry about childcare."
"Being able to get out in the fresh and take a proper break yet achieve my personal goal of improving my fitness/running skills."
"Learnt new skills to help me run better. I had the confidence to start doing Park Runs. I never thought that I would be able to run 5km."
" I would encourage anyone, of any fitness level, to come along and try a RunFit session. Richard and Jana are passionate about their running and this shines through with their encouragement, technique support and injury prevention knowledge. Every session is different and tailored to the needs/ability of the group. "
